Thank you for taking a moment to consider supporting PJ Olsson’s Rock Camp! The support that Rock Camp receives from sponsors and donors like you quite literally allows Rock Camp to exist. We provide talented young musicians an opportunity to learn and grow from the process of producing and starring in a real rock concert. And we don’t just take your money and run, we give back to our sponsors by taking them along for the ride through promotion, access while in session and some really great perks, like early seating at the concert and backstage VIP passes.
A music program worthy of your support…
There are many musical programs for young musicians, but it is quite possible that PJ Olsson’s Rock Camp is completely unique. Our process is organic, dynamic, adaptive, and goal-driven, all blended in an experience that is completely “real-world” in every respect. Our instructors are professionals who write, record, and perform music for a living. Our technical crew is the same, applying their extensive knowledge and experience with sound design, lighting design and stage design to help produce an amazing final concert.
The campers are ultimately the stars of the show, but the right to perform in the final rock concert is earned. We set high expectations for the young musicians and push them hard to meet those expectations. There are no lazy days or free free rides at Rock Camp. The campers, instructors, technical crew and administrators all have to work together to pull off an epic concert with just two weeks of planning, preparation and relentless practice.
In turn, the campers go through a highly emotional experience that in many cases transforms them internally and teaches them that challenging goals should be set and can be accomplished. Rock Camp teaches skills that will be applied to all aspects of their lives moving forward and redefines in their hearts and minds the concept of “good enough.” Why be “good” at something when you can be“great?”
